Job description

SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE...

Join Pure Storage’s Fusion team, where we’re reshaping the way enterprises manage, secure, monitor, and optimize their storage infrastructure. Recognized by Gartner for our visionary approach, Fusion unifies block, file, and object protocols with advanced AI-driven capabilities—while you lead the charge on security hardening or next-level observability. You’ll collaborate with skilled teams in Silicon Valley and Prague, forging the future of data management in a truly global environment. The ideal candidate will have experience bridging engineering practices and security or observability concerns.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge technology development and the growth of a successful company. Our open and transparent culture, encompassing both strategy and operations, provides employees with deeper engagement in engineering and business decisions. You'll lead a team of software developers in building our product, collaborating closely with product management, QA, technical writing, and various other software teams.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...

  • Proven experience in technical management of 3+ years.
  • Extensive experience in software development.
  • Proven track record of managing projects through the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC) and delivering products on schedule.
  • A commitment to customer needs and feedback.
  • Experience with agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality assurance best practices.
  • Effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Interest in Software Security or Observability concepts.

PREFERRED BUT NOT MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of cryptography, network security and their relationship to control and data planes.
  • Working knowledge of application monitoring and software observability.
  • The ability to balance usability against security.

We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Prague office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.

And because we understand the value of bringing your full and best self to work, we offer a variety of perks to manage a healthy balance, including flexible time off, wellness resources, and company-sponsored team events - check out purebenefits.com for more information.
