We are in the process of recruiting our QA team and we are looking for a Senior QA engineer who has vast experience in automation and testing in general but who is willing to also perform manual testing when and where necessary.

You will be our go-to for all automation testing subjects and transition into the role of Senior QA Automation team lead for the systems team looking after transverse subjects impacting all development teams and supporting our agile testing team (integration team).

What you will be doing? 🔧

- Assist the Senior QA Engineer in defining needs for test automation.

- Identify tools that can be written to help testing.

- Analyse the User Stories and their Acceptance Criteria.

- Evangelise Best Practices like ‘DOR’ (def. of ready) and ‘DOD’ (def. of done).

- Write functional tests (happy path, error, and negative scenarios) to cover the Acceptance Criteria in-sprint.

- Identify integration, E2E testing scenarios to be automated.

- Write automated tests, execute test cases/scripts, and log defects as necessary.

- Participate in story grooming sessions and estimate the testing time required alongside dev time for each user story.

- Participate in the implementation of new QA processes throughout the SDLC (Software Development Life-cycle).

- Assist Head of QA in implementing and auditing QA strategy within your agile product team.

Are you the one? 🧠

Skills:

- Strong background in automation using programming languages such as Javascript, Typescript, or Node.js.

- Experience with back-end and front-end testing.

- Experience working in an agile team on 1-4 week iterations.

- Knowledge of Agile methodology, software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

- Ability to write test scenarios and test cases for manual testing and identify cases for automation.

- Experience scripting test cases on different levels using existing testing frameworks (Jest for unit & integ. testing, Cypress for E2E).

- Experience with API, database, and non-functional testing would be a plus.

- Experience with CI tools such as GitHub actions, CircleCI.

- Strong communication skills in English.

Experience:

- 4+ years in a similar position.

- Tech-savvy.

- Strong background in automation using different languages (C# and/or Java).

- Experience building automation frameworks for microservice and web-based software as well as on mobile platforms.

- Strong experience in managing automation test projects.
