• Design and build the services for Powder: Cloud ecosystems with a strong focus on architecture.
• Ensure performance, failure handling, readability and testability of the various services.
• Strong collaboration with the product and front teams to define core features.
• Write tests and help other developers to write tests.
• Design, implement & deploy updates on a regular basis.
• Mentors less senior team members and reviewing proposed work
• Continuously discover and evaluate technologies to maximize development efficiency.

• 5+ years of experience developing backend solutions.
• Proficient in Go.
• Event driven architecture.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or other databases engines.
• Extensive experience with Docker, gRPC and Protocol Buffers v3.
• Familiarity with Cloud providers like AWS.
• Familiarity with micro-services concepts.
• Focus on testing and quality.
• Familiarity with continuous integration.
• Ability to take initiative and employ good judgment.
• Interest in Artificial Intelligence is a plus.
