About the role:
As Country Representative, you are responsible for pony’s success and growth of your market. We are looking for someone with an entrepreneurial hustle, who is an effective and proactive communicator, and who strives to make a measurable impact on the company. This role reports to the Head of Operations based in France.

Responsibilities

• Own your business: be accountable for hitting operational and financial targets in the cities you manage;
• Manage relationships with local logistics & maintenance providers
• Take a hands-on approach to solving complex problems
• Recruit and manage local city managers and operational teams
• Perform regular city audits, to ensure conformity to key strategic objectives and key results
• Implement local marketing strategies
• Collaborate cross-functionally with a diverse group from Pony HQ, including central operations, business development, customer service, and product development teams, to ensure timely resolution, quality control, and process feedback.

The ideal candidate:

• Must be fluent in the predominant language(s) spoken in your country
• Willing and excited to start a very intense job that does not provide your typical office hours at all
• Master’s degree
• Ready to get your hands dirty
• Experience solving complex problems, exercising good judgment, and navigating ambiguous situations
• Ability to simplify complex problems into actionable tasks
• Data-driven by nature, strong attention to detail, and obsessed with process improvement
• Comfortable learning and adapting to new concepts and utilizing new tools
• Self-motivated, energetic, and driven individual with the ability to grow within the role
• Experience in industries such as retail, manufacturing, maintenance, military, hospitality, restaurants, is a plus
• Startup experience is a big plus
