The position

Job description

At Pledg we are hiring new members to strengthen our team in Paris, France. As a part of the sales team, we are looking for a partnerships development manager, who will be responsible for new commercial and strategic partnerships in the European market in order to drive new merchants to Pledg.
Being an early member in this role, you will report to the CSO, your work will have a direct impact on the growth of Pledg. What you will do in this role:

  • Prospect organizations who fit Pledg partner profile, identify decision makers, build a partner pipeline and generate strong interest for Pledg products.
  • Structure, negotiate, and close strategic partnerships and reseller agreements.
  • Work closely with all internal stakeholders and external stakeholders to explore, plan, and execute partner onboarding.
  • Responsible for driving sales via our existing and new partners.
  • Responsible for joint sales pipeline management and marketing campaigns.

Preferred experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in developing and managing partnerships(PSP, acquirers, banks, resellers) within the payments or fintech industry. The experience can be gained from a similar role at a payment provider or at a large e-commerce merchant.
  • Good basic understanding of payment service providers landscape (PSPs/ payment gateways, acquirers, alternate payment methods) in Europe.
  • Ability to work independently to identify, evaluate, generate new business opportunities, and drive them to closure.
  • Strong communication and group presentation skills in English and (preferably) in French language, with the ability to explain technical concepts in clear and concise terms.
  • Strong network/relationships and ability to build strategic relationships.
  • Bachelor’s degree. Masters degree preferred.
