The position

Job description

The mission of the data science team is to create data science models, analysis, insights to solve our clients most critical challenges and sometimes embed our analysis into customized technical solutions that could live without us. The Data Analyst role is a full-time position. The Data Analyst will be responsible for using statistical methods to analyze data, creating and maintaining complex data models, and communicating findings to clients. The role is primarily located in Paris, with some flexibility for remote work. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in all aspects of data analytics, including data collection, data mining, insights generation, data visualisation and should be committed to transform data into readable, goal-oriented reports that drive engagement and action. Having interest for ESG and background in Finance is highly appreciated. 

Core responsabilities

  • Develop and maintain databases by acquiring data from primary and secondary sources, and build scripts that will make our data evaluation process more flexible or scalable across dataset

  • Define and implement data acquisition and integration logic, selecting an appropriate combination of methods and tools within the defined technology stack to ensure optimal scalability and performance of the solution

  • Develop ETL processes and facilitate customized analyses for Engagement team or as primary analysis for complex data science work

  • Perform data analysis : ESG Analysis, Spend Analysis, Market Analysis, by applying techniques such as benchmarking & trend analysis, and charting to provide observations and actionable insight

  • Design visually compelling reports and build interactive dashboards and data exploration tools using primarily Excel and Power BI

  • Be the point of contact for any data analysis enquiries related to dashboard design and reporting

  • Coach and manage trainees to support your day-to-day mission in desk research, dashboard building and design and data preparation


Preferred experience

  • Graduate degree in Finance, Supply chain, Engineering (or other related degree programs). BAC +4/5

  • 3+ years of relevant industry experience in procurement analytics, quantitative finance, ESG, preferably in consulting or financial industry

  • Advance expertise in Excel (VBA) and PowerBI (certification), Tableau, Domo or any analytics tool is a plus

  • Trye interest for data science

  • Good problem-solving skills and business sense, with potential to work beyond core areas of experience and within project teams

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French

  • A collaborative spirit with a positive attitude and high ethical standards
