Software MDIP Team, part of the R&D Philips CI&I, oversees a flagship product that manages information from medical devices and patient data to redistribute them to the different hospital systems (Electronic Medical Record, Monitoring...). We maintain and improve the Medical Devices Integration Platform (MDIP).
We develop the Core Platform of MDIP, used to integrate data coming from the devices. This platform manages all devices integrated into the platform. Neuron Devices build by the Hardware MDIP Team hosts some applications developed by the Software Team. We maintain, improve, and deploy also on this device the OS adapted to be secure and up to date.
MDIP is deployed all over the world in hospitals, so the English language is mandatory. All parts of the software and the hardware must respect the Healthcare Quality Management System.
Capsule brings vendor-neutral medical device integration, streaming data and contextual insights to patient care management. The innovative technology enables alarm management, decision support, retrospective analytics and research in multiple locations, from intensive care units, outpatient units, operating rooms, bedside, to the central station and on mobile. When data is aggregated and presented in the context of the patient, clinical teams can prioritize and coordinate interventions more effectively and efficiently. Capsule employs 140 people and is active in 40 countries.
The Software is composed of 2 product teams: Core Platform & Edge Devices. We also assume the transversal activities of the R&D with an Operations Team, Tools Teams and Framework Teams.
