Want to join the world’s No. 2 in wines & spirits and work among convivial teams? Pernod Ricard is looking for a Social Sustainability Intern for 5 months from August to December 2024. You will be based at the Island, our office in central Paris (Saint Lazare Train Station, Paris 8).

Your contribution as a Social Sustainability & Human Rights Intern will be to assist the S&R team and subject matter experts, in the implementation of the “People Pillar” of the S&R strategy and moving the Global Human Rights Policy forward through competitive monitoring, benchmarks as well as strategic cross-cutting projects.

Your key mission

Mission 1: ESG competitive monitoring

  • You will monitor and track human rights trends and best practices including peer commitments; official reports, the legal & regulatory and policy environment; and NGO and activist activity. You will participate in conferences and webinars and elaborate notes to share with relevant internal stakeholders.

  • You will coordinate and contribute to the bi-monthly S&R review shared with global subject matter experts as well as ESG related benchmarks.

Mission 2: Social Sustainability support and integration

  • In line with the EU CS3D (Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive), the CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Directive), the Devoir de Vigilance, and the UNGPs (United Nations Guiding Principles), you will contribute to the development of the “People Pillar” as well as the Global Human Rights Policy, providing support on events, workshops, communication, training and other materials.

Mission 3: ESG reporting, Ratings and Benchmarks

  • You will support the reporting related to the “Social sustainability” section of our Universal Registration Document and contribute to the response of ESG ratings and rankings (CHRB, WBA, Equileap, Ecovadis etc.) and review performances to inform opportunities for improvement.

Preferred experience

  • You are a student in a relevant field of study in Human Rights, Law & Business Ethics, Social Sciences, Sociology, Public Policy or International Relations

  • You have previous experience and internship in human rights or social sustainability within an international organization or NGO

  • You have good knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel and Word

  • You are passionate about human rights and social sustainability, and looking for an experience in an international environment

  • You are rigorous and meticulous, proactive, autonomous, curious and collaborative

  • You have flexibility, adaptability and ability to manage and prioritize concurrent projects

  • You have very good writing skills and ability to synthesize

  • You are able to see the big picture, learn and quickly understand new concepts outside area of expertise

  • You speak English and French fluently, Spanish is a plus
