About the role:

We’re looking for a hands-on People Operations Manager to lead our People Operations team while actively contributing to daily operations. You will report to our Head of HR operations (People operations, People experience & People analytics). You’ll combine team leadership with operational execution: ensuring high-quality, timely delivery of People Ops processes, coaching team members, and driving continuous improvement across our employee lifecycle operations.

This role is ideal for an experienced People Ops professional who enjoys getting into the details, thrives on building reliable processes at scale, and is motivated by enabling others to do their best work.

Scope and impact

Team size: Manage a team of Individual Contributors within People Operations (at least 5 people).

Operational scope: Own day-to-day execution and improvement of core People Ops processes (e.g., onboarding, data integrity, employee changes, payroll inputs, benefits administration, compliance tasks, HRIS administration, reporting).

Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with Talent Acquisition, Finance/Payroll, Legal, IT, and HR Business Partners to deliver seamless employee experiences and ensure compliance.

What you’ll do

Lead and supervise daily operations

- Plan and allocate workload, set priorities, and track progress to ensure SLAs and quality standards are met.

Manage and develop the team

- Provide day-to-day support, coaching, and close supervision of ICs.

- Clarify missions, responsibilities, and expectations; ensure role clarity and accountability.

- Run performance rituals: 1:1s, feedback loops, reviews, objective setting, and growth plans.

Execute and improve People Ops processes

- Own and contribute directly to execution in your area of expertise (e.g., HRIS, onboarding, data changes, benefits, leave management, mobility).

- Safeguard data quality, compliance, and documentation across processes and systems.

- Drive continuous improvement: simplify workflows, standardize SOPs, reduce errors, and improve cycle times.

Coordinate projects and stakeholder alignment

- Coordinate cross-functional deliveries (e.g., payroll cut-offs, policy rollouts, system changes).

- Communicate status, risks, and decisions clearly to stakeholders; ensure alignment with People and company priorities.

- Support change management for new tools, policies, and operating models.

Reporting and controls

- Maintain accurate source-of-truth data in the HRIS; ensure timely, complete, and auditable records.

- Prepare and review People Ops reports and dashboards; contribute inputs for payroll and headcount reporting.

- Ensure compliance with internal controls and relevant labor and data-privacy regulations.

What success looks like

 - Consistent SLA and quality attainment across core processes.

- High data accuracy in HRIS and strong audit readiness.

- Clear team priorities, balanced workload, and visible progress tracking.

- Engaged, supported ICs with regular feedback and documented growth plans.

- Documented, standardized SOPs with measurable process improvements (e.g., reduced processing times, lower error rates).

- Reliable cross-functional delivery (payroll inputs on time, smooth onboarding, timely employee changes).

Management expectations

- Hands-on manager supervising part of the team while actively contributing to delivery (execution and/or coordination).

- Manage a team of ICs and supervise daily activities and tasks.

- Ensure qualitative delivery for projects and team missions.

- Actively contribute in your field of expertise through personal execution and/or coordination of activities.

- Ensure performance of the team by playing a key role in operational delivery:

- Monitor and support the team daily with close supervision and guidance.

- Ensure each team member understands missions and responsibilities.

- Plan and organize deliverables, prioritize work, and track progress.

- Enforce priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain quality standards.

- Maintain an active contribution in your area of expertise with high-quality execution.

- Deliver management tasks for supervised ICs:

- Handle operational monitoring, team coordination, team rituals, and track individual progress.

- Ensure performance management throughout the year, consulting your Head of as needed.

- Foster a positive, collaborative team environment and show ownership.

- Support professional development with regular follow-ups and constructive feedback.
