We are developing and building cutting edge cryostats for research laboratories and for future QPU at PASQAL. Our helium close-loop based machines reach temperatures below 4 K and offer a very low level of vibration. We always aims to improve the specifications of its machines, and for this reason we are looking for a new employee to strengthen our R&D team.
You will play a pivotal role in our organization’s short-to-medium term goals. As part of our team, you will be responsible for driving innovation in the creation of new products while focusing on minimizing vibration levels and optimizing energy consumption. Additionally, you will be at the forefront of exploring advancements in cryogenics and its related technologies, specifically in the realm of ultra-vacuum technology.
Key responsibilities :
In charge of R&D projects in direct contact with academic laboratories
Design of a cryogenic device (T<3K) based on closed-loop cryocoolers in collaboration with the engineering department
Risk analysis, solution research, and implementation of an associated test bench
Prototyping and testing of selected solutions
Reporting and presentation of the results
New products development
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (W/M) or PhD in a related field
Proficiency in cryogenics, thermal engineering, instrumentation (low-noise measurements, magnetic field), boiler-making, and mechanical engineering
Prior experience or thesis in a related field is highly desirable
We are looking for a curious and enthusiastic Cryogenic Engineer with a passion for engineering and physics. If you have a natural inclination towards disciplines like mechanics, thermodynamics, and quantum physics, and enjoy seeking innovative solutions while embracing challenges at the boundaries of different fields, this position is ideal for you.
