After her studies at Ecole Polytechnique, Chloé completed a Master's degree in Data Science at Stanford University. During her Master's degree, she worked as a Research Assistant at the ShahLab, a bioinformatics laboratory attached to Stanford Hospital, where she developed machine learning algorithms for analyzing complex medical data. This experience made her want to pursue in the healthcare field and she joined Owkin in April 2018 as a Data Scientist. She then took more responsibilities by managing one of our main custormer's project.

Chloé is currently taking a gap year, working with La Croix Rouge on the ""Impact Data"" Program. We wish her a lot of success in this new adventure, and will welcome her back next year at Owkin!

Eric is a graduate of Mississippi State University where he did a thesis in ""compressed sensing"". He then did three post-docs at ESPCI, Ecole Normale Supérieure and Inria on various topics ranging from statistical physics to machine learning.

He joined Owkin in June 2017 to lead the application of distributed and federated learning technologies to healthcare data. Eric is now the Group Leader of Federated Learning Research at Owkin, managing a team of 4 Owkinautes.

After graduating from Ecole Polytechnique and MIT, Meriem completed a thesis in cancer biology at the Institut Curie.

After working as a consult at AEC Partners, she joined Owkin in November 2017, first as a Partnership and Translational Research Manager linking the Business and Lab teams.

Since December 2018, Meriem has held the roll of Head of Partnerships and leads a team of 7 Owkinautes between Paris, London and New York. Their role of the partnerships team is to grow Owkin's network of partners around the world (hospital groups, research institutes, ...) through research projects combining medical data and machine learning.

After completing his studies in applied mathematics and computer science, Inal worked for more than ten years as a Software Engineer in the web industry where he led teams whose objective was to design reliable and efficient solutions in high traffic and high availability contexts.

He joined Owkin in May 2019 to work on the federated learning framework applied to sensitive data. Since then, Inal has taken more responsibilities and is now leading a team of 4 Owkinautes. Their main focus is on building and deploying our Owkin Connect framework.

Of Catalan origin, Adrian is a graduate of Télécom Paris and Ecole Polytechnique where he studied innovation management and applied mathematics. Adrian started his career as a Developer at KickYourApp before joining Kubity, a company working on virtual reality technologies where he became CTO.

He joined Owkin in May 2017 as Lead Developer before becoming CTO and Head of the Developer and DevOps teams working on the Studio product.

Co-founded in 2016 by clinical research doctor,Thomas Clozel and Professor of artificial intelligence (AI), Gilles Wainrib, Owkin develops innovative AI services and solutions to accelerate the discovery of new treatments and advance personalized medicine.

The increasing accumulation of data, combined with the recent revolution in AI, allows the discovery of new therapeutic targets, the prediction of the effect of molecules and helps doctors to choose the right treatment for the right patient.

At the heart of future medicine, Owkin's clients and partners include pharmaceutical companies, hospitals specialized in cancer treatment such as the Institut Curie, and academic research laboratories in France and abroad (Switzerland, UK and USA).

What they are looking for

  • Data Scientists (specializing in machine learning, deep learning and statistics, or federated learning, ...) with experience working with medical data (histology, radiology, clinical trial, molecular or genetic data, ...);
  • Software Developers, back-end or front-end, DevOps and SRE;
  • Project Managers and Product Managers with a Biomedical or Data Science background;
  • Business Developers and Partnership Managers to build strong links with customers (pharmaceutical and biotech groups) and partners (hospitals, research institutes, ...);
