The position

Job description

At Orakl Oncology, we’re building a next-generation platform to accelerate the translation of patient-derived organoid (PDO) insights into clinical and therapeutic breakthroughs. To support our growing network of pharmaceutical partnerships, we’re seeking a Project Manager. This person will ensure the delivery of high-impact, high-quality outcomes across all pharma collaborations, while shaping the evolution of Orakl’s platform.

The Project Manager will:

  • Lead and oversee pharma contract execution: ensure all project deliverables, timelines, and contractual obligations are met with the highest standards. This will involve working hand in hand with our platform, data science and bioinformatics teams on a daily basis. When applicable, the position will involve the responsibility of managing the steering committee with customers.

  • Scientific analysis and reporting: contribute to the analysis of data generated by the Orakl Oncology platform. Maintain regular communication with partners, providing detailed project updates and maintaining relationships with customer scientific teams.

  • Monitor and guarantee project quality: implement and maintain quality control frameworks across all pharma-related activities to ensure compliance with contractual requirements and internal quality standards. Proactively identify project risks or deviations, and define and implement mitigation strategies to ensure smooth project progression.

  • Build and maintain the project management tools. Identify the key KPIs to track project delivery, cost and quality.

  • Continuous improvement: analyse project execution workflows and recommend improvements to optimise efficiency, quality, and client satisfaction.

  • Define and develop the product vision: identify and suggest potential improvements to better answer the questions from our partners and inform Orakl Oncology technology development.

  • Support the Business Development team: collect the data and build the analysis to assist the BD team. The candidate can expect to be invested in the contracting process and in the partnership management.

You are expected to demonstrate a significant level of autonomy and ownership across all aspects of contract delivery, while working closely with the Partnerships, Platform and Computational teams. You will be in regular contact with internal experts, high-level executives from our industry partners and stakeholders from the precision medicine and precision oncology community.

Preferred experience

  • PhD and/or MSc in Life Sciences, Bioengineering, Computational Biology, or a related field, with a strong scientific publication record or equivalent industry experience demonstrating technical and project leadership.

  • Deep and demonstrable passion for oncology and drug development

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in project management within the biotech/techbio/pharma sector, with a proven track record of independently leading complex projects.

  • Experience working in external collaborations, including pharma partnerships, CRO relationships, and academic alliances, with full operational accountability.

  • Exceptional organizational skills with a rigorous attention to detail; proven ability to handle, prioritize, and deliver on multiple complex, concurrent projects in dynamic environments.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to synthesize complex technical and contractual information into clear, actionable communications for diverse audiences (scientific, operational, executive).

  • Highly autonomous and proactive, with a strong drive to optimize workflows, innovate project management practices, and contribute strategically to the company’s growth.

  • Proven ability to operate seamlessly in highly interdisciplinary environments, closely interacting with scientists, bioinformaticians, clinicians, and business development teams.
