The position

Job description

As a Senior Scientific Project Manager, you will take ownership of complex, high-impact projects, acting as a bridge between business developers, scientists and leadership. You will lead cross-functional initiatives, and contribute to strategic planning and process improvement. Your role will involve autonomy in advanced project oversight, stakeholder management, and driving innovation in project delivery.

Duties :

  • Capture client needs in gene therapy and bioproduction projects to write scientific proposals aligned with internal scientific capabilities (high-level estimations of resources, time, and budget).

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple concurrent scientific projects, ensuring alignment with company objectives. Manage timelines, scope, resources, budget, and risk for complex projects.

  • Mentor and support project managers, providing guidance and sharing best practices.

  • Serve as the main point of contact for high-profile clients and key opinion leaders (KOLs).

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Biology, Computational Biology, Data Science, Business Development) to ensure project success.

  • Contribute to strategic decision-making and process optimization within the department.

  • Present project updates and scientific findings to internal leadership and external stakeholders.

  • Support the Head of Scientific Project Management in portfolio management, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Represent the company at conferences, webinars, and industry events.

  • Participate in drafting and reviewing scientific papers, grant applications, and presentations.


Preferred experience

  • PhD or Master’s Degree in life sciences (genomics, molecular biology, bioinformatics, biological engineering, or related field). 

  • Proven track record of successful project management in medical, pharmaceutical, or biotech industries. 

  • Experience influencing cross-functional teams and managing complex projects. 

  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and presentation skills. 

  • Up-to-date knowledge of scientific developments and industry trends. 

  • Business-level proficiency in English; French proficiency is a plus.


Recruitment process

  • Introductory meeting (30 minutes) with the People & Culture team.

  • Video call (45 minutes) with the Head of SPM.

  • On-site face-to-face interviews with the different departments.

  • PI behavioral assessment.

  • Reference checks (minimum of 2 references required).
