Job description

Product at October

We think reinventing financing is a massive challenge, that’s why we built October as a tech and data-driven startup. Today, 7 people in product teams are working on building the best financing experience ever made, very closely with the Technical team of 15 developers and Data team of 4 people.

The objective of Product team at October is to develop and deliver products that are aligned with October’s vision, resonates with our end-users and provides value for our customers. We always have our user’s problems at heart and find innovative solutions.

We love data !! Data is at the center of all product phases from specification to delivery. We follow OKR Methodology to define product’s vision.

We also believe in Learning at Product. We have weekly product sessions to discuss on topics linked to product skills and product process in order for the team to improve.

We follow the Scrum methodology: the Tech and Product teams are split in 3 squads, a 4th squad being built currently.

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to help us develop a modular SaaS solution to shape the FinTech of tomorrow.

Your role in the team

You will work with a dedicated Product Designer and a team of developers and report directly to the CPO. It’s a highly collaborative environment, where you work hand in hand with your squad and all the members of the product team!

  • Develop and implement product strategies consistent with company vision (using OKRs) with the whole product team
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of the product, market, and competition
  • Develop product positioning and go to market strategy
  • Identify areas for growth and create strategic product line roadmaps to help drive adoption of the product and differentiating features
  • Collect and analyze feedbacks from customers, stakeholders and other teams to shape requirements, features and products
  • Analyse the product usage data using quantitative approach and study the impact features have on the KPIs
  • Work closely with the data scientists to ensure that data features are implemented in a user friendly format
  • Work closely with product designer to elaborate user research, user testing, and wireframing
  • Manage all life-cycle stages for the product from ideation, MVP, iterations…
  • Manage agile product development process, lead agile ceremonies
  • Specify news features and prioritize the backlog to be aligned with the goals of the company
  • Analyze potential partner relationships for the product
  • Become the go-to person for all functional issues, evaluate what is a default, a bug or an improvement for the product
  • Ensure that features released are understood by the user through well written release notes and functional documentation

Preferred experience

Your skills:

  • >3 years experience in this sector
  • Fluent in English, understanding French is a prerequisite, and working knowledge of German, Dutch, Spanish or Italian is a plus.
  • Be at ease with design thinking, lean methodologies, and agile methodology
  • Result oriented culture and data centric
  • Good communication skills
  • Rigor, Anticipation, and hands-on
  • Knowledge of the finance market would be an asset, but being interest by it is more important
  • Knowing Amplitude, JIRA, SQL, Notion would be a plus

Recruitment process

We follow a 4-steps interview process (2/3 weeks):

  1. First, an introduction call with our Talent Acquisition Manager (20min)
  2. Then, a take-home exercise Product case study (1 week to do it - 2h/3h of work)
  3. A Product interview with the CPO, a PM, and a Product designer (1h30)
  4. Meet our tech team - to find a good fit (1h)
