Working within our engineering team, you will be primarily responsible for design, development and maintenance of Audio and MIDI features.

Our main focus today is on our iOS application, which already involves multimedia features like MIDI Playback, Audio recording, Music sheet synchronization, MIDI pedals support…
Our roadmap features the use of a specially designed Soundfont, better MIDI Messages support (both in and out) for a tighter integration with existing applications, an in-app multitrack audio mixer…

In the long term, we also plan to bring similar features to Newzik Web. Thus, your expertise in those domains will be leveraged throughout the whole Newzik ecosystem.

Elements of role

• With the Product and Design team, take part in the design process of the future evolutions of multimedia features
• Design and implement Audio and MIDI capabilities in our iOS application and Web apps
• Maintain and fix bugs on existing features and implementations
• Provide internal training and support to our team: you’ll be the expert, and we hope to learn from your experience

Holding an Engineering degree or MSc in a relevant field, you have prior experience in both iOS and audio development. More specifically:

• You have 5+ years of experience in audio or multimedia development, on mobile and/or desktop platforms
• You have a successful experience in iOS development
• You worked on a MIDI editor, sequencer or synthesizer
• You have solid basis in signal processing
• A prior experience using CoreAudio, or AudioKit is a plus
• Experience in music software development is welcome :-)
