Responsibilities

As a Clinical Coding Lead, you will help Nabla produce the best possible coding for the millions of encounters our AI assistant processes each month. In particular, you will:

• Collaborate with engineers and product managers to share domain expertise and influence product development

• Assign medical codes across a wide variety of clinical encounters

• Evaluate outputs from our automated recommendation engines

• Perform peer and team audits of medical coder, as needed

Qualifications

• Cross-functional collaboration skills, partnering effectively with engineers, clinicians, and fellow coders

• Certification in Medical Coding, such as CPC (AAPC), CCA/CPC-O (AHIMA), or equivalent

• Proficiency in coding systems: ICD-10-CM, CPT®, HCPCS Level II

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in clinical or hospital coding

• Deep knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy across specialties

• Experience with at least one major EHR/EMR (Epic, Cerner, Allscripts, etc.)

• Prior exposure to IMO® is a plus
