The position

Job description

We are looking for a talented Sales and Marketing Assistant with a passion for storytelling.

In this role, you will work closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop and implement the marketing strategy.

You will also focus on transforming our company narrative, manage events, develop content, animate social networks pages, cultivate relationships with clients, and promote our products/services effectively,.

Your main responsibilities will be to:

·        Organize and project manage an event-led marketing program: including communications, content and speaker management, audience targeting, reporting and analytics

·        Plan customer events, both online & in-person & support Myriad’s events strategy

·        Create and manage content for distribution on website & social channels, content of Google Adwords & other digital marketing channels

·        Engage internal stakeholders to create compelling marketing campaigns, sales collateral, and promotional materials to support sales efforts.

·        Generate and manage SME customer leads

·        Support managing our channel and reselling partners

·        Represent the company professionally at all times and uphold its reputation


Preferred experience

What you need to bring with you to succeed:

·        Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field

·        2 to 5 years proven experience in sales and marketing roles

·        Fluency in English and French is mandatory

·        Strong understanding of marketing principles, techniques and best practices

  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, PowerPoint and Excel

·        Excellent communication, written, negotiation and interpersonal skills

  • An effective team player, with ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders across multiple locations

·        Self-motivated, proactive and willingness to learn

·        Ability to multi-task and be able to effectively prioritize tasks

  • Positive and friendly manner, flexibility, and ability to work under pressure

This is a junior role, ideal for someone who is commercially minded and self-motivated.

The successful candidate will be passionate about technology and the growth of the digital ecosystem in Africa, possess events and project management experience and be able to adopt a creative mindset to meet business challenges.
