The Laboratory Manager contributes to provide performant Industrial lubricants (metalworking fluids, maintenance lubricant and surface specialties) to MotulTech customers, in overseeing the laboratory activities in France, managing fluid-in-service analysis and leading Product R&D activities.

Key responsibilities

Leads the laboratory activities in France:

• Sets the organization of the laboratory and ensure the proper functioning
• Manages the day-to-day activities with a permanent focus on quality and cost-control
• Leads the team, providing guidance, training and coaching
• Ensures that lab procedures and safety instructions are properly applied
• Conducts any ad hoc projects as requested
• Coordinate activities with R&D Automotive, in the context of a shared laboratory.

Fluid-in-service support :

• Manages priorities and ensure a right level of service and support is provided to MotulTech commercial organisation, customers and distributors, in France and abroad
• Ensures that MotulTech “Fluid-in service analysis” offer meets commitment, and is provided on-time in-full
• Defines and provide ad-hoc analysis or technical survey to lead product improvements or problem solving
• Identify product quality issues, root causes and provide recommendations. If required participate to production meetings, quality meetings or customer visits
• Communicates effectively with internal and external stakeholders (Product managers, Sales team, Customers and distributors).

R&D activities:

• Works closely with the head of MotulTech R&D and product managers to lead new product developments

• Manages R&D task and project prioritie

• Contributes to MotulTech innovation in developing constantly new knowledge in chemistry, applications and new technologies, liaising with raw material suppliers and other R&D Lab of Motul group.
