Job description

In this context, the finance team is key in making sure our rapid growth stays healthy and scalable to reach our ambition of being #1 in Europe on our market.

Our finance & legal team today has 3 team members : our awesome CFO (Cécile Galli, ex-Veepee and EY), a Finance Manager (Julien Fontannaz, who’s our 10th employee) and our Legal Manager & DPO (Clara Ripault, lawyer and expert in RGPD). We are looking for our 4th rockstar to join as Finance Analyst for the beginning of 2023.

Your mission, as member of this team, will be to contribute to the improvement of our financial health and in the satisfaction of our internal customers, your business partners, such as the leadership team, Sales, HR & more.

This role means that on a day to day basis you will contribute in different streams

  • Order-to-cash (revenue): you’ll be in close collaboration with the sales team and our legal manager : from contracts to quotation and invoicing, your role is to make sure we improve : our lead time of response to our customers and our % of paid invoices.
  • Purchase-to-pay: you’ll work with the operational teams and the leadership teams to build budgets, challenge them and follow Modjo’s spendings and treasury.
  • HR: you’ll help on payroll, bonuses and employee contracts management to support our headcount growth internationally.
  • Reporting: you’ll be involved in the accounting process and the production of monthly/quarterly/yearly KPI analysis. You may also be involved in ad-hoc analysis for the leadership team.
  • Cooperate with our external service providers, including our accountant, payroll manager and tool providers.
  • You will not be here just to execute. We expect you to participate in the continuous improvement of our financial and administrative streams and think about the scalability of each process you set in place to support growth.

  • Are comfortable with basic finance tools (excel !) - bonus if you’ve already worked with SaaS like : chargebee, payfit, qonto, pennylane & more
  • Are a real problem solver : you think in streams and are satisfied when finding where they break or should improve.
  • You like working in a fast-paced environment and grow with the startup you join.
  • You are fully proficient in french (Native or C2 level)
  • You are comfortable in an international and english-speaking environment (conversational, reading and writing)
  • Having a previous internship or experience in finance/audit is important for the above skills
