Mindee is the leading developer tool that powers document understanding. We are looking for our next Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our team.

Our mission is to provide developers with an API able to parse any type of document with better than human accuracy. We’re already deployed with top players in France, like Qonto, Spendesk, or Payfit, and are rapidly expanding in Europe and North America. We raised a $14M Series A led by GGV Capital in 2021, just after graduating from Y Combinator (YC).

• We are continuously growing in scope & complexity — so we need more 👋 hands to develop the ML related section of Mindee’s platform (all the services required to have deep learning in models in production)
• You’ll help us run faster 🏃‍♀️ & use fewer resources, by adding structure, light process — to ensure our R&D team’s models maintain accuracy in production
• A bigger team means more attention to quality and documentation 📝, we’ll need you here too
• To teach us something new 🧠 — help us ensure we’re using best practices when it comes to tests, development, and technologies!

Our application ecosystem leverages the latest web development paradigms, working among other stacks with modern Python (3.8+), Flask/FastAPI ecosystems, PostgreSQL, Redis, React.js, Docker, Kubernetes, Spinnaker while being agnostic of cloud providers.

The platform consists of:

• An intuitive and visually rich web platform where you can use or create document parsing endpoints

We’d love to talk to you if you…

• Have Masters degree or higher from an Engineering school
• Have experience in Python development (5+ years) and have already used Flask, FastAPI, or similar in a production environment
• Are obsessed with quality and optimisation — and are willing to temporarily let go of some engineering principals
• Experience related to having deep learning models in production: computation time, RAM usage, accuracy, size, …
• Competent with Git and CI/CD pipelines
• Curious about a wide range of technologies, for example… Rust 🧐
• Fluent in English

You’ll have 3-4 touch points with different members of Engineering Leadership and the Machine Learning team.

We are still small so we can curate the interview process based on the candidate to make sure we assess the right skills ✨

You will be accompanied through the process by our Talent Acquisition manager to ensure you are fully prepared for each step.
