Job description

🎯 Your role & impact

As Mendo’s first Senior UI/UX Designer, you’ll play a key role in shaping the product experience across all our solutions, with a strong focus on our AI-powered tools.

You will work at the intersection of product strategy, user research, and interface design, collaborating closely with product managers, developers, and pedagogical experts to deliver intuitive, elegant, and engaging user experiences.

Beyond designing, your mission is to bring clarity and ambition to our design practice, elevating the quality of our product and helping teams become more design-mature.

Your missions :

  • Design and improve interfaces across Mendo’s core products

  • Lead user research efforts with PMs to deeply understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points

  • Turn insights into prototypes, wireframes, and high-fidelity designs

  • Conduct UX audits to identify friction points and propose actionable improvements

  • Champion accessibility, scalability, and UI consistency across products

  • Maintain and evolve our design system with support from our design alternant

  • Help PMs and developers explore product ideas through collaborative workshops and structured discovery methods

  • Explore how AI can support and enhance design workflows and decision-making

Preferred experience

🌱 What we expect from you

  • 5+ years of experience in product design, with strong skills in UI, UX, and end-to-end problem solving

  • Experience designing tools or experiences that support learning, adoption, or workflows—ideally in B2B environments

  • Curiosity for generative AI and a strong desire to explore how it transforms the way people learn and work

  • Interest in learning design and gamification—you care about clarity, motivation, and user progression

  • Ability to lead design initiatives autonomously, while collaborating closely with PMs and developers

  • Mastery of Figma and familiarity with tools like Notion, Maze, or equivalents

  • Excellent communication (in French and English) and ability to explain design decisions to non-designers

🤗 What we offer

  • A key role with ownership over design direction across the company

  • Competitive salary based on experience.

  • BSPCE (stock options) because we value your contributions.

  • Flexible remote policy (2 days in-office per week in Paris).

  • Health insurance (Alan) and meal vouchers (Edenred).

  • Learning and growth opportunities to develop your skills and career.

Recruitment process

  • Step 1 : Initial Screening – A discovery call with Chloé (Talent Acquisition Manager) to discuss your background and motivations.

Step 2 : Experience & Motivation Deep Dive – A detailed interview with Ines (Product Manager) to explore your skills, experience, and aspirations.

Step 3: Case Study & Technical Assessment – In-person session with Ines (Product Manager), Alexandre (CTO & Cofounder) to evaluate your expertise through a use case.

Step 4: Final Round – A closing interview with our two co-founders Quentin and Alexandre and potentially 2 additional team members from Mendo This round is focused on your vision of the market, personal motivations, ambition, and how we see ourselves building something together. It’s also a moment to explore alignment with Mendo’s culture and long-term mission.
