Royal Canin Is experiencing significant growth, particularly on the WET technology (cans and pouches).

To support this growth by building new production capacities and reinforce existing ones, Royal Canin wants to develop and deploy its Engineering Technical Standards for Wet technology.

WET process & can technology experience and knowledge will be valued particularly.

What are we looking for?  

• Engineer Degree , experience in Wet Process (can , sterilization technology)

• Standardization process

• Written and spoken English essential due to the worldwide implication behind the projects

• Lean principles

• +5 years of experience within engineering

• Engineering background, Processing Environment Expert

• Continuous improvement Culture 

• CAB management

What will be your key responsibilities?  

• Requires specialized technical depth, wet process and can technology

• Building very effective collaborative relationship: direct working relationship with 2 manufacturing sites and relevant functions such as Activity Management, Commercial, S&F, R&D/Q&FS, Marketing, and Engineering

• Solves complex problems; takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions

• Close collaboration and partnership with the RC Global Industrial and Engineering team.

• Close collaboration with Mars Pet Nutrition Global and Regional engineers. This is even stronger in region where RC has shared capacity development projects with Pet Nutrition

• Role covers multiple geographies (US, Europe, Asia)

Wet technical standards

Develop Engineering Standards and specifications for assets and lines design for RC WET, leveraging Mars Petcare & RC Engineering, RC Q&FS and R&D, Engineering peers and relevant Mars Global Suppliers, compliant to Mars HSE standards.

Share the Documentation with Engineering Execution teams and Mars RC global suppliers to ensure the knowledge and application of the standards.

The documentation Includes -but Is not limited to - technical description / specifications-drawing, key installation and operation points, suppliers, prices lists.

Masterplanning

Lead or Support Masterplan sessions to define Investment phases, site layouts evolution to meet Market demand, HSE, Q&FS requirements In line with the Supply strategy

The Masterplan becomes an aligned framework for all project submission as well as a mapping of the CAB forecasts.

​CAB submission - project write up

Study and design for new projects, Including layout asset list and cost, capacity calculations, functional description.

Collaborate to the project write up, own the technical descriptions, layouts, accurate budget for project CAB approval.

Peer reviews

Conduct peer review sessions on projects to leverage Mars Petcare global technical experts’ knowledge and alignment with global standards, before project submission.

After project completion, capture lessons learned of the project to feed the continuous Improvement of Mars Petcare Engineering standards and ways of working.

Support innovation projects

Collaborate closely with R&D teams (from Discover to Deploy) to support the innovation process.

His/her contribution will be key to identify technical options supporting the development of Innovation, assess the cost and feasibility of these potential options.
