Job description

Role summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Cash Application Specialist & Automation Ambassador to join our small international AR team. You will manage all core cash application activities—daily allocation, cheque processing, discrepancy resolution and AR reporting—while proactively identifying and driving automation opportunities. You will be in touch with our Smart Automation team to identify and implement automation solutions and fuel continuous improvement and digital transformation across the AR function.

 

Your Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily cash allocation, including incoming cheque processing, ensuring accurate matching of payments to customer accounts in SAP for one of our German entities
  • Investigate unapplied or misapplied cash, resolve discrepancies by communicating with MANN+HUMMEL colleagues and external customers
  • Maintain and update AR process documentation (process maps, work instructions, manuals)
  • Support the generation of customer statistics and AR-related reports
  • Lead or support small-scale automation projects—document requirements, perform testing, and deliver user training
  • Participate in automation training programs with the goal of becoming a Citizen Developer
  • Promote continuous improvement and digital innovation in the AR function


Preferred experience

Profile description:

  • Education: High school/University degree ideally in the area of Finance
  • Experience: • +2 years’ experience in Accounts Receivable or other Finance related position, ideally within a shared-services or multinational environment, experience with automation tools or platforms is an advantage
  • Required Skills: knowledge of MS Excel on intermediate level, knowledge of SAP is an advantage, basic programming / scripting is an advantage
  • Languages: Fluency in English (B2+), knowledge of German is a big plus
  • Competencies: analytical and self-motivated person with interest in automation/robotics, attention to detail
