About the role

As the Senior Event Manager, directly reporting to the Head of Community, you’ll be in charge of leading our event strategy and operations to attract and retain our freelancers in our community.

As the Senior Event Manager, you will

  • Plan and build our events strategy and operations through in-person or virtual events (live coding, online meetups, product updates, live interviews)
  • Design and deliver top freelancers retention and acquisition bespoke events (annual conference for Super Malters, quarterly product updates)
  • Identify and develop key topics to host online events (webinars, round tables) and monthly afterworks for freelancers
  • Prepare, present and manage events budget
  • Look at the larger picture: efficiency, scalability, business goals, freelancer experience..
  • Collaborate with the marketing, communications and community teams to design and implement tailored communications plans for each event
  • Preferred experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in events, project management, marketing and communication or field marketing
  • Excellent interpersonal communications skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • You speak English and French fluently

  • A case study with Mélanie, our Global Freelance Experience Manager, and Charlotte our Team Lead Freelance Success Manager (45-60 minutes)
  • Final interview with Perrine, our Chief of Freelance & Community Officer, to discuss Malt's long term vision
