As Design System manager senior at Malt, you will be part of the Design Ops team (Lead Design Ops, UX Researcher, UX Writer, Localization Manager), you will be working in pairs with the Design System engineer and collaborating closely with the Product Designers and engineers of the 11 squads. You are the bridge between the Design team, the Tech team, and the Brand team!

Key responsibilities ✨

  • Design and maintain the already mature Design System of Malt Joy, and bring it to the next level!
  • Anticipate the Design System key evolutions and build the Design System Roadmap with the Design System users and your stakeholders (the VP of Design, the Design leads of the 3 tribes, the Tech Leads)
  • Collaborate closely with the design, tech, and product management teams to understand their needs and effectively address them with proper solutions through the design system
  • Collaborate closely with the Brand team and the UX writer to define how Malt's brand should be reflected in our product
  • Efficiently deliver the main Design System evolutions, components, patterns, and tokens based on the roadmap
  • Document the Design System evolutions and communicate clear and visible guidelines to boost adoption
  • Embrace the tranversal role of Design Consistancy guarantor: ensure the design consistancy across the 3 tribes & 11 squads
  • Raise the bar of Design at Malt: inspire the Product Designers, coach them and update them with the new Design trends

    • About you 🧑‍🚀

  • You have a minimum of 4 years of experience, including at least 2 years of experience as a Design System Manager in a scale up, medium or large company

    • Technical skills

  • You have a strong knowledge of Figma and are up-to-date with all the latest features linked to the design system (Variables / Design Tokens / Auto-layout)
  • You are proficient with managing multiple Figma libraries and managing releases at scale
  • You are used to collaborating with front-end developers to estimate the feasibility and deployment and have a great focus on the Developer's Experience
  • Bonus: you have strong UI skills and you are ready to take up the challenge of bringing more joy to our product

    • Communication skills

  • You know how to engage your stakeholders and proactively share visibility on the Design System roadmap progress
  • You are proactive in federating and evangelizing people around the design system process and its impact on the product.
  • You like to share your knowledge, train and develop the skills of the designers you work with

    • Language

  • You speak English fluently (French and any additional Malt’s languages are a bonus!)
