Currently, the Finance team at Maki is only composed of Paul-Louis, one of our co-founders who acts as our CFO.

This means this job isn’t just a finance job—it’s a builder’s role. As our Founding Finance Analyst , you’ll be the first hire in the Finance team, working hand-in-hand with the co-founders to architect the systems, processes, and insights that will power our next phase of scale.

You’ll be expected to roll up your sleeves, get deep into the numbers, build from zero, and own high-impact projects from day one.

💪 About your mission

• Build from the ground up: Create financial models (P&L, cash flow, runway) and implement reporting processes that scale

• Own the numbers: Run budgeting, forecasting, and monthly closing with the support of external providers

• Be strategic: Help shape our business and strategy by translating complex business models into clear, actionable insights

• Drive investor readiness: Collaborate on board materials, investor reports, and pitch support

• Set the foundations: Establish tools, systems, and internal controls to support hyper- growth

• Partner with the business: Work cross-functionally to influence pricing, hiring plans, go- to-market, and expansion

• Get your hands dirty: No task is too small—you’ll lead and execute at all levels

What we are looking for 🤹

• A natural builder—you thrive in ambiguity and enjoy creating order from chaos

• Proven modeling and analysis skills; you speak Excel/Google Sheets fluently and can “tell the story in numbers”

• Comfortable taking full ownership of your domain, while collaborating across teams

• Strong grasp of SaaS metrics and business models

• Excellent communicator who can simplify complexity and influence decisions

• You have grit, high standards, a strong sense of accountability and you get things done

• Passion for AI

• Experience in investment banking, VC, audit or FP&A is a plus
