Job description

For 20 years, Lucca has been developing SaaS solutions to increase employee efficiency and engagement. We address the main administrative and HR management issues: time and activities, expense reports, personnel administration, annual reviews, and measuring well-being at work.

Our solutions are used today by over one million users in all types of companies (from the chic hotel chain Accor to the surf brand Rip Curl) and particularly in those with strong growth developing internationally (Deezer, Michel & Augustin...).While we operate in the very serious field of management tools, our work is guided by the belief that a management software doesn't have to be gray, ugly, or boring. That's why we attach great importance to the design of our interfaces and the user experience.

Our workforce, which currently stands at +500 people, keeps growing in France (Paris, Marseille, Nantes), but also in our new offices: Spain (Barcelona) and Switzerland (Geneva)!

🎓 Master's degree required

💼 >8 years experience in software localization

📍 Paris + remote work (2 optional remote working days per week)

💰 Between €60,000 and €74,000 per year, depending on past experience

🌍 Lucca is getting global! For this job, the required level in English and French is C1 (reading, writing, listening, speaking)

Job description

Context

In 2022 Lucca celebrated its 20th anniversary and embarked on its internationalization journey by establishing its first two subsidiaries outside of France, in Barcelona and Geneva… to be continued next year in Germany!

2022 is also the year when we started to professionalize our Localization approach (first hire, TMS implementation, etc.) and we now want to grow the team to consolidate our internationalization.

Our software interfaces are currently available in more than 7 languages (French, English, Spanish, German, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese) and our Sales and Customer Success teams support our clients in 4 of them.

As the number of clients operating in various countries increases we want to offer them the best user experience, and this means improving translations availability and quality for both software and documentation.

Your mission

With the aim of progressively improving language availability and quality, you will lead a team and collaborate with all Lucca’s Departments to implement your Localization strategy.

You will be part of the International Cooperation team to lead its Localization expertise.

The Localization team was initiated by Mathieu, our Localization star 🌟. You might have the chance to work with him and for sure you will be honoring the fruitful achievements he has already built. To help you implement your strategy, you will be helped by your team members, Clara and Emilie, who are joining Lucca in December 2023 and January 2024 respectively.

Here are more details about your main mission as a Localization Lead.

👉 Defining the localization strategy

Taking into account Lucca’s business priorities and what has been built so far, you will be able to determine your best ways to enhance language availability and quality

- Defining your team’s priorities and roadmap in line with Lucca’s business needs

- Managing the TMS stack: improving current tools setup or deciding to benchmark and implement new ones

- Exploring industry best practices to refine our approach: deciding on LSP strategy, investigating AI possibilities to decide when and where to use it in our processes

👉 Implementing your localization program

Setting up processes and projects to improve our current stack and ease new languages implementation

- Defining your team’s organization to get your program on track while developing each talent

- Testing and iterating on processes, then ensuring efficient communication and documentation across all departments

- Consolidating the linguistic and terminological framework at Lucca, creating and maintaining all necessary resources

- Collaborating with all Lucca’s departments (Product & Business), building strong relationships to help them understand localization needs and ensure gradual change management on processes

- Reporting on key figures and facts, tracking your localization budget to efficiently help decision making

- Being a voice for localization across teams to embark more and more Luccasians in our L10N journey!
