The position

Job description

We are looking for a Managing Director to lead all our operations in Colombia. You will be responsible for ensuring sustainable growth, operational excellence, and alignment with the company’s global strategy.

This strategic role includes developing strong partnerships, optimizing organizational performance, leading local teams, and ensuring adherence to legal, ethical, and cultural standards.

🔎 Your Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategy:

  • Define and implement the strategic plan for Colombia in alignment with the company’s global vision.

  • Make strategic decisions to ensure profitability and market leadership.

  • Represent the company with partners, government bodies, and key stakeholders.

Operational Oversight:

  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring financial targets and KPIs are met.

  • Streamline processes to improve efficiency and performance.

  • Foster collaboration between local teams and global business units.

Team Leadership & Talent Development:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing local leadership team.

  • Implement employee development plans to drive performance and growth.

  • Promote a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation.

Financial Performance:

  • Oversee financial performance, including budgets and investments.

  • Identify cost optimization opportunities and growth areas.

Commercial & Institutional Relations:

  • Build strong relationships with local partners, clients, and government agencies.

  • Identify new business opportunities and maintain competitiveness.

Governance & Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with local laws, tax requirements, and corporate governance standards.

  • Foster a culture of ethical conduct and transparency.


Preferred experience

  • Experience: 10+ years in executive leadership, ideally in international or multi-country environments.

  • Skills: Strategic leadership, financial acumen, negotiation, and problem-solving.

  • Languages: Fluent in English.

  • Education: Master’s degree in Business, Management, Finance, or related field.
