Schedule: Salaried Position (Monday - Friday)
Position Summary
The Customer Service Representative serves customers by answering product and service questions; managing customer communications, loading volume forecasts and evaluating current and future demand. This position will process orders, prepare correspondences and fulfill customer needs to ensure customer satisfaction. You will also be asked to escalate complaints across a number of communication channels. To do well in this role you need to be able to remain calm when customers are frustrated and have experience working with computer based ERP systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintaining a positive, empathetic and professional attitude toward customers at all times.
• Responding promptly to customer inquiries.
• Processing orders, forms, applications, and requests.
• Keeping records of customer interactions, transactions, comments and complaints.
• Communicating and coordinating with colleagues as necessary.
• Providing feedback on the efficiency of the customer service process.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and provide professional customer support.
• Primary point of contact for orders and daily interaction regarding short term capacity, special requests, audits and issues.
• Communicates with customers through various channels (phone, email, etc.) while maintaining positive and professional
• Maintain customer accounts by recording account information, contacts and updating SalesForce as needed.
• Resolve product or service problems by clarifying the customers’ complaint; ensuring that we determine the cause of the problem; and ensure that we communicate the correction or adjustment.
• Maintain financial accounts by ensuring the Order Price and Quantity match the Quoted Price and Quantity.
• Recommend potential improvements to management by collecting customer information and analyzing customer needs
• Prepare product or service reports by collecting and analyzing customer information and data
• Contribute to the team by accomplishing related actions and tasks
• Build sustainable relationships with customers through open and interactive communication
• Compile reports on overall customer satisfaction
• Follow communication procedures, guidelines and policies
• Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
• A high school diploma or equivalent and 1-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• Familiar with CRM systems and practices
• Proficient PC skills in a Windows environment
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
• Maintain a high degree of confidentiality
• Strong decision making and analytical abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
• College degree preferred; Supply Chain, Marketing, or Engineering
• Experience working a Manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
