GENERAL OPERATOR I
Job Description Summary
Operates power-driven presses to stamp or perform other shaping operations. Operates machines until accurate production has been achieved.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Ensure quality conformance on all product run.
• Read and understand blue prints and work instructions.
• Use of inspection tools to check parts. Throughout day check parts at press.
• Handling of raw material to load and unload coils.
• Communicate with supervisor to aid in increase of production and quality.
• Needs to complete daily logs and repot production in MRP system.
• Keeping presses running thru out day
• Maintain the department/ work area clean and organized.
• Follow ISO/IATF, safety, and environmental procedures as well as department and corporate policies and procedures.
Authority
• Stop/report production if quality is not to standards and report to shift supervisor.
Job Knowledge; Skills and Abilities
• Knowledge of multi-slide machines and tools, a plus.
• Knowledge of calipers and micrometers, a plus.
• Company certification on fork lift, a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret job orders and blueprints.
• Ability to comprehend and apply common sense understanding simple, oral and written instructions in the English command.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Steel toed shoes, safety glasses and ear plugs are required at all times.
