Reporting to the Director of the LearningPlanet Alliance and working closely with the Learning Planet Institute’s communications department, you will be responsible for:
Co-design, plan, and execute a variety of online events all-year round, including our annual LearningPlanet Festival, in collaboration with over 300 Alliance members globally.
Identify and liaise with speakers, sponsors, and partners to ensure successful event outcomes and the economic sustainability of the Alliance
Monitor event budgets and timelines
Evaluate the success of events (participant increasing, media coverage..) and provide reports and recommendations for future initiatives
Develop and implement community engagement strategies to foster collaboration among Alliance partners
Facilitate Action Groups focused on shared priorities such as youth empowerment, greening education, and local learning ecosystems
Manage and moderate online community spaces, particularly on Discord, to encourage active and meaningful interactions
Create and distribute newsletters, updates, and other communications to keep the community informed and engaged
Actively communicate with Alliance members to understand their interests and needs, and incorporate them into event planning
Build and maintain relationships with more than 300 organisations around the globe
Collaborate with thought leaders, practitioners, and youth to share perspectives on learning and thriving in the 21st century
Promote events and community activities through various media channels
Master’s degree in Event Management, Community Development, Education, or related field
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in event management and community building
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Passion for education and social change
