Job description

Under the responsibility of the Switzerland Group Accountant, your main responsibilities will be to participate in the various missions of the finance team, primarily for the Bramble Group, but also as part of the Le Collectionist Group, working collaboratively across both groups to ensure sound financial management and reporting with a commercial focus.

This position is based in the Bramble Group Head Office in Le Châble, Verbier in Switzerland. The working language of the office is English, and knowledge or fluency of French would be beneficial. Working in a small finance team this role will be varied and provide great exposure to the full finance function.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the accounts receivable function, daily revenue control and reconciliations

  • Process intra-group transactions

  • Support month-end Group reporting with the performance of closing processes, inc. reconciliations, VAT reporting etc.

  • During Winter season assist with the financial aspects of the weekly closure of bookings

  • Maintenance of financial records and general ledgers in compliance with accepted policies and procedures

  • Assist with the preparation of annual statutory and consolidated financial statements

  • General learning & assessment of group financial activities (systems, payroll bookkeeping, owner billing etc.) taking responsibility as and when agreed

  • Provision of support to the other members of the finance team

  • Develop strong working relationships with other departments providing support as required

  • Assist with setting, formalising and updating the Group’s accounting and financial control policies

  • Support the finance transformation to drive process and system improvements to enable increased efficiency and accuracy


Preferred experience

  • You must possess an EU/Swiss passport or a valid work/residency permit
  • Part Qualified / Recently Qualified Accountant
  • Proficient in MS office and accounting software systems
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written) and have a working knowledge and understanding of French
  • A naturally passionate, kind and determined person, willing to build a strong understanding of our clients and their needs by fostering a long-lasting relationship

  • You have excellent attention to detail
  • You will be a hardworking, multi-tasker with exceptional attention to detail, and the role requires an ability to learn quickly as well
