What you will do:

As a Junior Business Intelligence Engineer at TheFork, you will assume a pivotal role in shaping and fortifying our data infrastructure. You will serve as the crucial link between our source systems and the stakeholders who rely on our data.

Situated within the Data Analytics and Insights team, this role collaborates closely with all facets of the company, including finance, marketing, product, engineering, and operations.

With a vibrant community of data enthusiasts (over 500 Tableau users!), our team focuses on two primary objectives:

  • Continuing to support company priorities and contributing to the development of essential data products and assets. Last year's endeavors encompassed areas such as revenue management and attribution modeling.
  • Evolving and streamlining our BI assets for increased efficiency, comprehensiveness, and scalability. Amidst the plethora of dashboards and tables accumulated over the years, our aim is to optimize for quality over quantity, emphasizing powerful, impactful dashboards (Less is More!).

Your role will be central in unlocking self-service capabilities and constructing a robust, scalable suite of dashboards and data products. You'll collaborate closely with our engineering teams and data analysts, utilizing leading-edge tools and technologies like Airflow, dbt, Snowflake, Tableau, and PowerBI to develop and maintain data pipelines and derive actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into our data warehouse (Snowflake).
  • Utilize dbt to transform raw data into structured datasets for reporting and analysis.
  • Assist in monitoring and troubleshooting data pipeline issues to ensure data integrity and reliability.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in business intelligence and data engineering.

Who you are:

  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in business intelligence, data engineering, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and querying.
  • Familiarity with ETL tools and processes, preferably experience with Airflow and dbt.
  • Experience working with cloud-based data warehouses, such as Snowflake.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand business driven questions
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools, including Tableau and/or PowerBI.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • You are working in an autonomous, proactive and accountable way: you don’t wait to be told what to do.
  • You demonstrate an obsession towards excellence: you systematically consider that good is not enough and constantly consider how to improve and reach the next level of quality, performance and impact
  • You play agile and fast: delivering in a fast-paced environment is an easy business for you. You are comfortable to manage several topics in parallel, with different stakeholders involved.

What we offer you:

🏠 A Permanent contract (that can be useful in life)

💸 Competitive fixed salary, bonus and equity (yes, equity!)

⚖️ Flexible working environment (2 days/week homeworking)

🏥 Health insurance

🏋️‍♀️ Lifestyle benefit program

🍕 Lunch vouchers (because yes, we like to try our best restaurants)

😄 A happy team (not everybody like our jokes, but we try our best)

🏳️‍🌈 International and inclusive working environment

🍴 Amazing offices with dining, coffee point on each floor, and leisure area

😌Free access to the Calm app

🎤 Team building events (we love karaoke. A lot. A lot.)

We believe that we are better together, and at TheFork we welcome you for who you are.  Our workplace is for everyone, as is our people powered platform.  At TheFork, we want you to bring us your unique perspective and experiences, so we can collectively keep disrupting the restaurant industry and go from good to great.
