The position

Job description

The Development Departement promotes the values and funds of La Financière de l’Echiquier to professional clients, partners, distributors and institutional investors. The teams draw on their in-depth knowledge and expertise of the product range to provide professional clients with the best possible offering in line with their investment objectives.

As a member of the Development team, the intern will strengthen the International Institutional team and play an active role in the following tasks:

  • Responsibility, oversight and maintenance of the eVest database

  • Update our quantitative entries and prepare qualitative description of our company and strategies

  • Ensure correct and timely consultant database entries (quantitative and qualitative) according to product priorities

  • Provide quality control

  • Report on competitors activities observed on the databases

  • Contributing to other internal projects (competitor packs, RFPs, RFIs)

Liaise/coordinate with internal stakeholders across the business


Preferred experience

  • Master’s degree level. Business school degree or international university degree with major in Finance. Preferred but not essential: CFA or working towards CFA level 1

  • Preferred but not essential minimum of 6-month database administration experience (e.g. during another internship) an asset management or consultancy, or other relevant experience.

  • You have a very good understanding of third-party consultancy databases such as eVestment and you have an in-depth knowledge of the financial markets and the asset management sector.

  • You have a perfect command of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel, including the creation of complex spreadsheets development and reporting using macros and / or tools such as VBA.

  • Fluent in English, French not compulsory

  • You have strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment.

  • Attention to detail, well organized. Ability to manage large amounts of quantitative and qualitative information.

  • You show initiative and can set priorities.
