Job description

Hello, we’re L’Oréal.
We’re not just building brands; we’re shaping how the world experiences beauty (and it takes a lot of cool jobs to do it). Intrigued? Keep reading, this might be the opportunity you’ve been searching for.

A Day in the Life
Join our Packaging Science Center in Clichy, where we develop next-generation packaging solutions for all L’Oréal brands and divisions. As part of the Minerals & Naturals domain, you’ll focus on creating innovative cellulosic fiber-based packaging that combines sustainability, performance, and consumer experience.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • LEARN - Based on our scouting tools and your own network and experience, participate in seizing opportunities on technologies, materials and additives that can be deployed to create cellulosic fibre based packaging. Continuously increase your own knowledge in your field of expertise and learn from your team mates working on other materials.
  • DEVELOP - Work with other l’Oréal teams, suppliers, research centres and higher education in a project mode to develop and test your solutions. Travel to production sites to help with fine-tuning, debugging, and upscaling of the packaging.
  • DEPLOY - Ensure the transfer to our internal clients - the operational teams. Support them during the deployment of your technology. Share your knowledge back into the ecosystem with communication & publications.

We Are Looking For
You’ll thrive in this role if you have:
  • Education or proven experience in paper materials, cellulosic fiber forming, decoration, and packaging sciences (e.g., barrier properties, material mechanics, surface chemistry).
  • Proven experience in project management and innovation.
  • Curiosity, inventiveness, and a passion for sustainability and sustainable packaging.
  • A rigorous, data-driven approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong communication skills to explain complex scientific topics to non-experts.
  • Team spirit, entrepreneurial mindset, and a consumer-centric approach.
  • Fluency in English to manage international projects.

If you hold a Master’s or PhD and are ready to innovate, this is your chance to make an impact!

What’s In It For You
  • A place for you to leave your comfort zone and grow beyond your potential (here, you’ll be encouraged to try new things and take risks!).
  • Real responsibility from day 1-there’s no sitting on the sidelines at L’Oréal.
  • An environment where people of every ethnicity, social background, age, religion, gender, and sexual orientation, as well as people with disabilities, are accepted, can speak up, will thrive, and are celebrated!
  • A place where you can contribute to something bigger! Many of our brands have societal/environmental causes to make a concrete difference.

Who We Are
Our daring Operations team of 20,000 exceptional minds doesn’t just work on complex challenges; they help create sustainable and inclusive beauty alongside our partners by crafting, innovating, sourcing, producing, and delivering millions of products and services that touch every corner of the globe.
