Team structure:

Functional area: Architecture and Technical Services.

Tasks: Technical scope, Architecture design, migration from monolith to microservices.

Team Size: 12.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

·        Technically lead projects and provide technical supervision to senior Java developers

·        Be active in a continuous improvement of the process, methodologies, technologies, and practices

·        Author and code review integration and communication services written in Java

·        Closely cooperate with other project’s Tech Leads on cross-component deliveries and share best practices

·        Provide periodic status update to supervisor and highlight/recommend any changes in design based on challenges faced

·        Actively work with Product Owners and Team to define and groom the functional requirements in the actionable tasks

·        Interview and hire new people, establish the efficient onboarding process

Qualifications:

·        2 years of experience leading an engineering team of 4 SR developers, with collaboration with Product Managers 

·        Agile mindset (Scrum, Kanban)

·        Strong knowledge of Java 11 (Core, Collections, Multi-threading, Streams, JVM troubleshooting)

·        Spring Framework (Core, Boot, Cloud). 

·        ORM (ideally JPA/Hibernate)

·        RESTful web services, Open API.

·        Security (at least 2 of the following items): OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT, Certificates, PKI, Signature, Encryption.

·        One of the following message brokers: RabbitMQ or Kafka.

·        Microservices design patterns & Distributed architecture (Monitoring, Tracing)

·        Relational databases (Postgres or Oracle DB)

·        Docker & Kubernetes

·        Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written

·        Experience with DevOps culture: Pipelines, tools like Jenkins and ArgoCD

Nice to have:

·        Apache Zookeeper

·        Non-relational databases 

·        Amazon S3

·        Experience in performance testing (JMeter)

·        Gradle

·        Domain Driven Design
