Job description

Help us use technology to make a big green dent in the universe!

Kraken powers some of the most innovative global developments in energy.

We’re a technology company focused on creating a smart, sustainable energy system. From optimising renewable generation, creating a more intelligent grid and enabling utilities to provide excellent customer experiences, our operating system for energy is transforming the industry around the world in a way that benefits everyone.

It’s a really exciting time in energy. Help us make a real impact on shaping a better, more sustainable future.

We are seeking a technically strong and commercially aware Group Finance Manager to join our central finance team. This role will play a critical part in delivering accurate and timely group reporting, overseeing international month-end processes, and driving consistency across our subsidiaries. You’ll be responsible for group-wide consolidations, inter-company processes, IFRS adjustments, and strategic support around investments and acquisitions.

What you’ll do...

  • Own and manage the intercompany matrix, including eliminations, recharges, and reconciliations across all entities.
  • Prepare the Group cashflow report, consolidating inputs from all subsidiaries and ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  • Review international month-end submissions, ensuring alignment with group policies and reporting timetables.
  • Complete consolidated balance sheet reconciliations and ensure intercompany balances net out correctly.
  • Deliver monthly and year-end group trial balance reconciliations and insightful P&L commentary, both on a consolidated and segment-by-segment basis.
  • Manage investment and acquisition-related reconciliations, ensuring accurate accounting for new and existing holdings.
  • Track deferred consideration and KPIs linked to Sales & Purchase Agreements, ensuring alignment with acquisition terms.
  • Post and review Group-level IFRS adjustments, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and consistency across reporting periods.
  • What you'll need...

  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with significant post-qualification experience in a group or consolidation-focused role.
  • Strong understanding of consolidation accounting and intercompany processes.
  • Proven experience in IFRS reporting and handling complex accounting scenarios (e.g. M&A, deferred consideration).
  • Comfortable working across multiple international entities and time zones.
  • Excellent Excel skills and strong familiarity with consolidation and ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite, Hyperion, SAP BPC, or similar).
  • High attention to detail and a proactive, solution-driven mindset.
  • It would be great if you have...

  • Experience working in a multi-entity international environment.
  • Exposure to private equity-backed or acquisitive businesses.
  • Familiarity with preparing reports for board-level or external stakeholders.
  • If this sounds like you then we'd love to hear from you!
