What’s the job? About the role We are going through and exciting period of change and are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Engineer (Backend) to join our Software Engineering team. You will work as part of our exciting greenfield tech hub covering all facets of technology.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work closely with your cross functional team to design and implement new features and products, whilst bringing ideas, energy, and leadership to the table.

Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain robust, high-quality software solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver valuable features.
- Participate in code, design, and test reviews to ensure code quality and maintainability.
- Apply DevOps practices for continuous integration, testing, and deployment.
- Integrate applications with monitoring and support tools to ensure reliability.
- Support teammates through mentoring and sharing technical knowledge.
- Contribute to Agile team processes, helping to improve ways of working.
- Use data-driven methods to test assumptions and iterate on product features.
- Provide and receive constructive feedback to continuously raise software standards.
- Troubleshoot issues across the development lifecycle and support ongoing improvements.
- Explore and recommend new technologies to enhance team capabilities.
What you’ll bring Skills and Experience - Strong professional experience with Java and Spring Framework
- Solid understanding of RESTful API design and microservices architecture
- Experience with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL)
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and pipelines
- Understanding of software engineering best practices (version control, unit/integration testing)
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience working within an Agile/Scrum team
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken)
Nice to have - Experience with Kotlin
- Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD
- Exposure to monitoring and logging tools such as Datadog, Dynatrace
- Experience with ATG, Commercetools
