As a Digital Content & UGC Lead, this role requires a strategic problem solver, an effective collaborator with a passion for content and a strong understanding of its impact on e-commerce success.
you will:
- Drive Content Strategy and Lead POCs/POVs: Understand the value of content and UGC in SEO and the customer journey, and lead initiatives to improve ROI, including POCs/POVs with external parties.
- Take the lead in encouraging collaboration to define digital product content standards and monitor performance.
- Be Data-Driven and External Benchmark Focused: Utilise research, analysis, and a test-and-learn methodology to inform decisions and drive continuous improvement and benchmark externally to ensure Kingfisher is keeping apace with market trends and innovations.
What’s the job? Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities: - Collaborate with Group Teams: Work closely with the Banner and OEB Content & UGC Teams to review performance and standards regularly, ensuring they remain relevant to changing market or customer trends. Develop a collaborative environment to share insights and best practices across the Group.
- Measure Effectiveness: Review and improve the content effectiveness measurement framework that establishes important metrics for content and UGC, supervises their value and sales opportunity, and benchmarks against the market. Share insights and recommendations to drive continuous improvement.
- Supplier Management: Be responsible for the relationships with key 3rd party partners, driving the strategic roadmaps with them and ensuring maximum value from the partnership. Continuously evaluate the market for new partners/alternatives to ensure Kingfisher is acquiring value for money and a fair return on its investment.
- Test & Learn: Partner with Banner and Group teams to prioritise content and UGC testing (MVT, AB, Controlled experiments, etc.). Ensure the value of such testing is understood and that results drive decision-making. Share findings and standard processes across teams.
- Drive Operational Effectiveness: Be an agent for change and, where vital, a disruptor to drive the operational efficiency of content and UGC definition, collection, enrichment, and creation. Improve Kingfisher’s ROI or equivalent experience in content by sharing standard processes and collaborating on innovative solutions.
- POCs: Lead POCs/POVs to test new capabilities that can deliver improved customer experience or operational efficiencies across the Content/UGC ecosystem. Ensure robust measurement so that successful outcomes can be evaluated by Banner leadership teams.
- Stay Informed: Stay connected to the external market to identify new and emerging trends, technologies, and channels that will power digital content and UGC growth in future years. Share these insights back into the business to advise strategy and innovation.
What you’ll bring Required Skills & Experience: - Demonstrated ability and expertise across Digital data and content disciplines, including content & UGC strategy within an e-Commerce context
- Be able to demonstrate delivery of: Operational and business change with proven time, efficiency, and cost benefits
- Content optimisation programmes designed to identify and maximise value
- Measurement frameworks to deliver KPIs and insight
- A/B testing / test & learn methodologies
- Experience of working in a multi-national group environment with a proven track record of building effective ways of working between central and local teams; aligning action plans and facilitating sharing of best practice across multiple remote teams
- Extensive experience working in an agile, fast-paced environment
