As a Costing Developer, your role is to create and manage the bill of materials and cost data. You’ll prepare, maintain and deliver detailed bills of materials and costs for products to support price negotiations with our suppliers. And provide reporting and analytics to support price negotiation and overall product price management. This role is based in Turkey.
What’s the job?

• Manage cost management activities independently, including the generation and maintenance of the costed bill of materials, cost analysis and support negotiation.
• Realization of “should cost” on new developments and existing products.
• Support product engineers in the implementation of the “design to cost” approach Accurately estimate production and material costs with product engineers and production engineers.
• Analyse material cost changes on a monthly basis / Provide on-demand one-time analysis
• Participate in the development of convincing material cost solutions/proposals
• Prepare regular analytical reports, including cost analysis, liability costing, and value engineering.
• Support negotiation with suppliers and attend as needed

What you’ll bring

• Strong cost management expertise, including experience with costed bills of materials, cost analysis, and “should cost” evaluations for new and existing products.

• Proficiency in “design to cost” methodologies and the ability to collaborate with engineers to estimate production and material costs accurately.

• Analytical skills to assess material cost changes and provide detailed reports on cost analysis, liability costing, and value engineering.

• Experience in supplier negotiations, with the ability to develop compelling material cost solutions and proposals.

• Advanced Excel skills or familiarity with cost analysis tools, combined with excellent attention to detail and the ability to present insights clearly.
