As our Protocol Specialist, you will be responsible for shaping our protocols roadmap and representing Kiln in the wider ecosystem. Within your missions, you will:

• Define our protocols roadmap both across protocols (which to support next and why?) and within protocols (how should we approach MEV? Which tooling could we open-source?)
• Maintain protocol information and awareness of current and upcoming events (upgrades, governance proposals) and educate the wider Kiln team
• Represent Kiln by actively participating in each protocol’s ecosystem (writings, talks, governance votes)

Skills & background

• Demonstrable academic excellence (in any discipline, though Math, Computer Science, Economics, or Game Theory would be highly preferred), and high energy, interest, and desire to learn and conviction about blockchain technology and cryptocurrency
• Previous experience in crypto/blockchain is a bonus, or alternatively, being highly crypto curious and ready to dive head-first into the space

Soft skills

• Curiosity and ability to dig into a topic and follow through
• Strong communication and presentation skills. Organized with an emphasis on documentation and note-taking
• Genuine interest in the blockchain and cryptocurrency space
