Job description

Jus Mundi is operating globally since day 1. The US is our strongest market since our creation in 2019. We count among our clients 40% of top100 US law firms, including DLA Piper, Hogan Lovells and Kirkland & Ellis, as well as a federal government department. We also partner with AAA-ICDR, the most prominent US arbitral institution.

In 2022, we hired a first business developer in New York and we grew our revenues by >100%.

We are looking for a self-motivated business & strategic leader to accelerate our growth in North America. You will report to the the Head of Sales with a regular contact to the CEO, and have a real impact on the future of the company.

This is a unique opportunity to build a business on your own and gain entrepreneurial experience. It’s a challenging but rewarding role!

This position can be based in New York, Miami or Houston.

Missions

  • Lead and expand Jus Mundi revenues in the US, from law firms and corporate legal departments.

  • Develop and oversee the execution of a strategic US vision and operation plan, including strategic communications that support and advance Jus Mundi overall purpose, vision, and mission.

  • Represent Jus Mundi in the US and ensure the coordination of Jus Mundi-led activities within the US legal community.

  • Manage the end to end US sales process from origination strategy and opportunity creation through to closure (prospection and qualification of leads, demonstration of Jus Mundi’s benefits to potential clients, management of the sales process and negotiation).

  • Build and manage the US sales team. Lead a cross-functional team that will support the development of Jus Mundi in US.

  • Develop, sustain, and deepen collaboration with arbitral institutions, courts, governments & UN agencies.

  • Establish and manage the annual budget covering Jus Mundi personnel and activities in US in consultation with Jus Mundi’s top leadership.


Preferred experience

💼 Your Profile

  • Minimum 7 years experience in the US, in both legal industry, preferably in arbitration, and business development or sales. Experience as an attorney is a bonus.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a leadership role. Experience in the legal tech industry and experience in owning & managing P&L is a bonus.
  • Demonstrated experience in communicating with diverse audiences, including lawyers, in-house counsel, government representatives and institutional members.
  • Outstanding strategic, communication and interpersonal skills. A strong network is required.
  • Jus Mundi is a highly diverse company. You should be empathic and comfortable working with people from different cultural backgrounds.
  • You are also autonomous, proactive, rigorous, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational and team management skills. You have the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities under pressure with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Fluent English. Proficiency in French, Spanish or Portuguese would be an asset.
  • 1 month onboarding in Paris. Regular business travels to Paris and to both North and Latin America.
  • US passport or green card holder.
