Jus Mundi is looking for a Senior Tech Lead Manager (TLM) to lead and grow one of our engineering squads while remaining a strong technical contributor. You will be managing a squad focus on data collection, automation, and structuring, while proving and maintaining access to it to other squads through a back office, APIs and Search Engines.
As a TLM, you’ll play a key role in shaping our technical strategy, mentoring engineers, and ensuring alignment between engineering, product, and business goals. You’ll be part of our Product & Engineering team, dedicated to building and scaling cutting-edge tools that power our Jus Mundi and Jus Connect platforms. You will report to Thomas, our CTO. Thomas brings a strong technical and product background and is passionate about empowering teams, fostering a culture of ownership and pragmatism, and building scalable systems that serve user needs and business impact.
In this role, you will:
Lead and mentor a squad of engineers, ensuring high performance, ownership, and collaboration.
Define and execute the squad’s technical roadmap in collaboration with product managers and designers, and publish engineering OKRs each quarter, backed by DORA metrics and service SLOs.
Foster a healthy engineering culture focused on quality, and speed. You own continuous improvement targets and report progress to leadership.
You are the ownership of code health, testing discipline and tech‑debt decisions. you maintain robust monitoring and incident management.
Forecast head‑count with the CTO and Talent team, write job descriptions, and act as hiring manager for engineers within your squad
Define and publish engineering OKRs each quarter, backed by DORA metrics and service SLOs; You own continuous improvement targets and report progress to leadership.
You put security first, equip your team to keep customer data and services safe end‑to‑end.
Support CI/CD practices and delivery workflows that maximize team efficiency and velocity.
Actively contribute to cross-team collaboration and ensure strong alignment with company goals.
You’ll be empowered to lead strategic initiatives, improve engineering practices, and make an impact on product delivery, technical excellence, and team development.
Must-have:
10+ years of experience in development, including 4+ years in technical leadership and people management roles.
Proven ability to align engineering execution with product and business strategy.
Strong hands-on experience with Symfony/PHP and/or Nuxt/Vue.js.
Track record of managing and mentoring high-performing engineering teams.
Experience conducting performance reviews and supporting career growth.
Strong understanding of scalable architecture and system design.
Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management experience.
Proactive, accountable, and able to prioritize under ambiguity.
Experience with lean/agile practices and project management.
Security-aware mindset – able to identify risks, advocate for secure-by-design principles, and guide the team on good practices.
Bonus:
Experience or interest in Go, LLMs/GenAI, or performance optimization.
Knowledge of compliance, or data governance.
Experience in startup/scale-up environments.
Public speaking or internal knowledge-sharing experience.
Familiarity with our stack: PostgreSQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, Neo4J, Docker, GitLab, CI/CD, Terraform, and modern DevOps practices.
