Job description

As Head of Strategy & Operations, your main mission will be to bring Joko to the next level as a company, through a combination of operational excellence, top-notch analytics, and strategic projects to grow our footprint and offering. It is a very transverse role in which you will contribute significantly in driving the company’s success by working with all teams and helping the organization scale. You will report to the CEO. You will manage an Operations Manager, a Data Analyst and a Strategic Projects Manager, and will have the mission to grow this team as the company will grow.

Your team’s responsibilities:

  • Operational excellence: your team will work on a daily basis with all other teams (Sales, Customer Service, Account Management, Finance, etc.) to set up new tools and processes in order to make our organization more efficient and more scalable. Their focus will be to help the whole organization improve its performance indicators, save time, and reduce risks. You will work with many stakeholders, internal and external (e.g. technical providers).

  • Analytics: Your team will perform advanced data analyses for all teams (and for some partners too) in order to keep track of the business performance and to feed strategic decisions. Their mission will be to allow all teams at Joko to perfectly track what is going on in their respective activities, take data-driven decisions, and be empowered in answering questions through data autonomously.

  • Strategic projects: Your team will be in charge of driving strategic company-level projects, such as the development of new product offerings and/or revenue streams, the execution of our international expansion, etc. In close collaboration with the founders and all of the teams, your mission will be to grow our footprint as well as the value delivered to our users, in order to help Joko grow from cashback app to an all-in-one shopping app.


Preferred experience

  • Experience: You have at least 6-7 years of experience, either on a similar role in a startup, or in a consulting firm (or equivalent).
  • Analytical skills: You love solving complex problems and analyzing data.
  • Problem solver: You are pragmatic and know how to solve problems quickly.
  • Mindset: You have an entrepreneurial mindset, you like challenges and you like getting hands-on.
  • Autonomy: You are fully autonomous and able to manage complex projects from A to Z.
  • Efficiency: You are fond of productivity tools and able to deliver on time on projects with many stakeholders.
  • Attention to details: You know that the devil is in the details, and you have talent for spotting flaws when there are.
  • Tech fluency: You are comfortable in a technical environment. You are always curious to understand how things work. Bonus if you have data analysis technical skills.
  • Communication: You have strong written and verbal communication skills, and you are able to explain something complex with simple words.
  • Languages: You are fluent in English both written and spoken, as we are expanding internationally soon.
  • Education: You graduated from an engineering or business school (or equivalent).
