Job description

This position is remote-friendly if you are already located in the USA.

Joko’s Venture into the US Market

Having conquered the French market with over 3 million users, €500 million in GMV, and 3,000 partners, Joko has crafted the ultimate shopping app designed to empower consumers to shop smarter; with features like Buy Now Pay Later, cashback, coupons, price comparisons, and wish lists. Our next ambitious goal is to go global, starting with the US.

As we embark on this global expansion, two of our co-founders will be moving to the US, and along with you and another pioneering marketing hire, will lay the groundwork for our future US team and its success. We aim to dominate the US market and secure the top position. Joining us at this early stage is as thrilling as kickstarting a new venture, but with the advantage of leveraging the established infrastructure, strong product, and profitable model we’ve built in France.

🎯 What You Will Do

As US Partnerships Lead and the first business hire in the US, you will report directly to the co-founder & CRO, who will be based in New York. Your primary responsibility will be to forge strong partnerships with networks and advertisers, secure competitive deals, contribute to the formation of the commercial team, and collaborate with internal teams (including product, marketing, and operations) to help us implement strategies that ensure our success in the US.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with affiliate networks and agencies to secure participation in key affiliate programs across the US.

  • Negotiate competitive CPA terms with leading advertisers to ensure our cashback rates remain attractive to users.

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop media kits, a media fees strategy, and initiate the sale of app placements and communication packages.

  • Assist in shaping a robust commercial team, hiring strategies, and roadmaps in partnership with the co-founder responsible for business development.

  • Engage in product and marketing discussions to ensure our offerings and messaging resonate with the American market, in collaboration with the co-founder overseeing product and marketing.

  • Enhance Joko’s visibility within the industry by attending affiliate conferences and conducting regular in-person meetings with advertisers, networks, and agencies.

  • Create compelling presentations and content for commercial pitches and performance reporting.

  • Work alongside the biz ops and data teams to establish comprehensive monitoring dashboards and optimize operational processes (such as offer creation, rate and condition updates, and tracking link efficiency).

Preferred experience

  • Experience: A solid background with min. 5-7 years in a business role within the affiliate industry.

  • Entrepreneurial Spirit: A passion for starting from scratch, embracing challenges, being hands-on, ambitious, and an effective problem-solver.

  • Independence: Capable of autonomous project management from inception to completion, setting and exceeding high standards, and ensuring project success.

  • Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication abilities, both verbally and in writing, with a knack for forging and maintaining lasting relationships with stakeholders.

  • Values: Team-oriented, ethical, transparent, humble, and committed to continuous learning.

  • Business Acumen: A keen ability to quickly grasp people’s needs, surpass goals, and close deals.

  • Detail-oriented: An eye for detail and a talent for identifying even the smallest flaws.
