The position

Job description

Ipsos is seeking a Software Engineer Intern (3-4 months) to join the Global Business Intelligence team, part of the Management Information System organisation, and passionate about AI, Generative AI as well as environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues. The intern will work on various development projects that aim to provide innovative and data-driven solutions.

Through this 3-4 month internship, you’ll experience first-hand what it is like to work on the BI team and can expect your project work will entail the following:

  • Complete two assigned projects during the internship:

    • contribute to/deliver an ESG dashboard development offering key insights into trends and patterns.

    • contribute to/deliver a specific Generative AI proof-of-concept for corporate Finance

  • Collaborate with other teams and departments, such as IT, Operations etc.

  • Spend time with the team to understand strategy, activities and priorities.

  • Work independently on a variety of tasks and activities to support the team. 

  • Attending meetings with members of the team to get an insight into their roles and remits.

A typical day:

As an intern, you’ll be integrated into a team where you’ll contribute to challenging projects. You can expect to:

  • Own and complete a project from beginning to end

  • Collaborate with multiple team members to achieve project milestones

  • Communicate to provide project updates

  • Seek and provide feedback throughout the internship

  • Actively participate in and contribute to the BI team


Preferred experience

  • You’re currently completing your degree in Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Econometrics, or a related technical field. 

  • You possess analytical skills supported by proficiency in SQL, Python, Excel/Google Spreadsheets, Microsoft Office, PowerBI, and Power Automate.

  • Critical thinking, organization, proactive innovation, and the ability to prioritize tasks reflect your methodical approach to solving problems and exploring data-driven hypotheses.

  • You have gained your skills and knowledge through internships, academic projects, volunteer work, or other practical experiences. 

  • Demonstrated interest and knowledge of ESG and AI topics.

Nice to have:

  • Fluency in English is required for this role
