Job description

InterCloud is looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join the implementation team and work on both internal and customer projects and deployments.

Reporting to our Head of Engineering, your role will be to:

Handle the Network and Software implementation for the different customers (internal and external)

  • Deploy customer architectures
  • Deploy InterCloud template and services for automation
  • Collaborate with architecture & innovation teams to implement InterCloud’s solutions

Take part of the team days’ operations and On call (Nights and Weekends) shifts as L3 Engineer

  • Participate to the team shifts (1 week of ops & 1 week of On Call duty every 5 weeks)
  • Be the L2/L3 escalation point for our custumers and L1 engineers
  • Manage the physical interventions in our partners Datacenters for equipment’s cabling, installation and management

Elaborate the technical documentation (manuals, configurations, templates)

  • Deliver the TAD (Technical Architecture Design) documents
  • Create and update the installation and deployment manuals
  • Manage the technical asset manager (Netbox and others)

Manage and grow the system & network engineer team

  • Coach, support and grow your team (6 people now)
  • Maintain InterCloud culture by fostering a healthy and collaborative team dynamic
  • Beyond your role as a mentor and coach, you keep operational responsibilities

Preferred experience

This role is probably made for you if…

  • You have at least 8 years of experience in Network Engineering
  • You have a valuable experience on a team management and demonstrate leadership
  • You have an excellent knowledge of current protocols and standards, including MPLS, DWDM, Ethernet, TCP/IP, ISIS, BGP, SIP, DNS/DHCP and SNMP, QOS
  • You have substantial operational experience with carrier class routers, switches and optical gear
  • You can demonstrate problem analysis and solving capacities
