InterCloud is looking for a Lead Network Architect to join the architecture team and work on day to day activities such as network and systems design and software development, as well as being the subject matter expert in network architecture, planning, design, implementation and optimisation.

Reporting to our Head of Engineering, your role will be to:

Produce architecture templates and documentation for both customer-based designs and backbone design

• Design the backbone architecture in collaboration with architects and implementation engineers
• Lead the customer architectures target design for both custom and standard implementations
• Create network templates and data model that is used for automation (flat files, Yang model, XML)

Evaluate and recommend effective products and platforms to provide cost-effective solutions that meet architectural and business requirements.

• Collaborate with the product management teams to design and to maintain the products
• Collect market inputs and contribute to the Roadmap evolution
• Support the automation streams by providing technical assessment of the implementations (development and services creation)

This job is probably made for you if…

• You have at least 12 years experience in this area
• You have substantial operational experience with carrier class routers, switches and optical gear.
• You have an excellent knowledge of current protocols and standards, including MPLS, DWDM, Ethernet, TCP/IP, ISIS, BGP, SIP, DNS/DHCP and SNMP, QOS.
• You know about Network Automation Solutions (NSO preferred)…as well as APIs, Python, Yang, Erlang
• you have an experience with Juniper, Cisco equipment and solutions (Certifications would be a considerable advantage)
• You can demonstrate professional written and verbal communication skill
