The position

Job description

We are looking for a Lead Engineer to join our new team based in Iasi.

The job ?

  • Analyzing high level system specifications, system requirements and convert information into low level specifications and system design plan
  • Participate in all apects of the software development lifecycles which includes estimating, technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment and support of applications
  • Working in agile teams
  • Coaching and mentoring junior developers and provides technical leadership; enforcing development guidelines and best practices.
  • Oversee technical deliverable including validating quality of technical designs, build, implementations
  • Estimate, prioritize and plan work items (through JIRA tools) to be handled during sprint/iterations
  • Interact with the development team based in France
  • Develop new features
  • Identify opportunities to propose new troubleshooting or performance analysis tools for production operaions staff
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, UI/UX, DevOps and QA team members on subjects from design to deployment based in France.

As a Lead Engineer you’ll also have to build the new technical team based in Iasi.


Preferred experience

About you ?

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in computer sciences, computer engineering with a mimunum of 5 years experience in software development in Java/JS languages.
  • You have a strong understanding of REST
  • You have an experience in continuous integration and DevOps methodologies, preferred tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, SonarQube, etc.
  • Ability to use data bases (MongoDB/MY SQL)
  • Knowledge and experience in leading software development efforts using agile methodologies
  • Experience in mentoring and supporting peers and engineering teams
  • Ability to work remotely from the rest of the Development team
  • Excellent communication skills / Fluent English, with good written and verbal communication skills
