Culture Code

Who we aspire to be.

Who we aspire to be.

We're building a culture where personal and professional growth are just as important as business growth. That's why we created the HubSpot Culture Code. It shares our key values, like 🧡 HEART 🧡 — humble, empathetic, adaptable, remarkable, and transparent — and much more. (It is 120+ slides, after all.)

Work at Hubspot

Future of work

HubSpot is committed to creating a more sustainable future for our customers, partners, employees, investors, and the community at large. We have already moved the needle in some key areas, but still have a lot of work to do to ensure we’re best in class in Sustainability. Want to see our efforts?

Our page

Why Sustainability?

Our founders consistently encourage us to do the right thing, and we believe the ESG pillars (environmental, social & governance) represent the issues we must work on if we want to build a company our grandchildren can be proud of. This is the core reason we are investing in ESG, and why much of what the company has already accomplished on ESG predates our specific sustainability focus.

We approach Sustainability in accordance with three pillars: environmental, social and governance.

Environmental 🌱

As a participant in the UN Global Compact, we have committed to adopt sustainable practices, report on those practices, and track them over time. We have designed and maintained our global facilities to reduce HubSpot’s environmental impact and have implemented several programs in the areas of video conferencing, workplace flexibility, recycling, and energy conservation that get the job done while using and re-using resources at the most efficient level possible. We support remote work and provide our employees with remote access to applications, programs, data, and collaboration tools to reduce environmental cost associated with commuting, office space usage, and team travel. We've achieved 100% renewable energy across all of our building sites and are developing a roadmap toward net zero and planning to commit to science based emissions reduction targets.

Social 🧑🏼‍💼

Company culture and investing in our people are not only HR priorities at HubSpot, they are core business priorities. We see it as our responsibility to build and scale a culture that helps people do their best work, and is above all, inclusive. We’re also passionate about helping our global communities grow better. Through our global HubSpot Helps program, we support initiatives in two core areas: education and entrepreneurship. Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DI&B) is another core part of our mission. HubSpot customers are diverse in their backgrounds, experiences, and needs, and to help them grow better, we need to build a company that is reflective of that diversity. We have incorporated DI&B into our policies and practices, education and events, and executive and community programs. These include our annual diversity report, our DI&B committee and team, executive and employee training, and our global employee resource groups.

Governance 🌟

Two key policies help us drive forward our sustainable governance practices: (1) our Code of Use Good Judgment, which applies to all of our employees, officers, and directors and highlights that everything we do at HubSpot will be, and should be, measured against the highest possible standards of ethical business conduct, and (2) our Human Rights Policy, which outlines HubSpot’s position on fundamental human rights. We also believe privacy and data protection are the foundation for trust. Accordingly, we support the roll-out of privacy and data protection laws around the world. We also build privacy-enhancing features into our platform, as evidenced by our GDPR Playbook.

Come as you are.

Come as you are.

You are welcome. We’re building a company future generations can be proud of. A company where everyone is welcome. A company where you can be yourself. Come build it with us. Building an inclusive environment is a team effort. Our programs, employee-led resource groups, and events are open to all. Here are just a few we think you'll love.

Women@HubSpot 🌟

Women@HubSpot implements initiatives and programming that empower women in tech and support women’s professional development through training, workshops, networking events, discussions with female leaders, and more. Our favorite day of the year? International Women's Day.

Proud that HubSpot CEO Yamini Rangan was named the #1 Best CEO for Women by Comparably in 2022.

POCaH’s (People of Color at HubSpot) mission is to create a culture that empowers employees of color by creating safe spaces, providing resources for career development, and offering educational opportunities to the HubSpot community. The programs POCaH runs, like Black Excellence events, mentorship programs, and field trips to local museums, help us all learn and grow together.

BLACKhub 🌟

BLACKHub stands for Black Leaders Amplifying Change and Knowledge. And our community of Black employees does just that. We create safe space for honest conversations about the Black experience, and partner across the company to put ideas into action. BLACKHub's initiatives focus on career growth, recruiting, and community-building.

LGBTQ+ Alliance 🌟

Pride isn’t just one month or one parade at HubSpot, it’s something we celebrate year round. The LGBTQ+ Alliance is a global committee of employees who are passionate about creating inclusive spaces for employees and people in our community who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, and queer. Check out the Pride webpage to learn more.

Families@HubSpot 🌟

We want to create a remarkable experience for parents (and soon to be parents) at HubSpot. This employee resource group is dedicated to just that by managing programs, perks, and a community for families. Families@HubSpot offers passes to zoos and children’s museums, creates content and resources, organizes our favorite time of the year, Bring Your Kids to Work Day, and much more.

Voted “One of the 2021 Best Workplaces for Parents” by Great Place to Work®.
